Aifat Timur Tengah Maybrat – The 501 Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, a military unit under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. On Wednesday, 23 October 2024, the 501 Task Forces held a Territorial Activity entitled "Free Health Treatment" for residents of Ayata Village, Aifat Timur Tengah District. This activity, a testament to their dedication, helped the residents with difficulties in the health sector, one of the community's basic needs.
The 501 Task Forces have actively carried out security activities in their area of responsibility in conducting routine duties. During its routine task on Wednesday, the 501 Medical Team conducted free Health Treatment for the community. The free Health Treatment included general medical check-ups, treatment for minor illnesses, provision of vitamins, and education about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and living a healthy lifestyle.
On Wednesday morning, the Ayata residents enthusiastically participated in the 'Free Health Treatment' initiative at the Post. One of them was Mama Ever Turnib, who received health treatment for her flu illness and was provided with medicine and vitamins. After the treatment, Mama Rut expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Commander 501. I feel better now. God bless." This active involvement of the community is a testament to the success of the initiative and the unity it fosters.
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 501 Task Forces’ initiative to hold 'Free Health Treatment' for residents of Ayata Village. His words: 'The 501 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to helping the residents with difficulties in the health sector, one of the community's basic needs, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.'
