Celebes magazineMAKASSAR — Students from the Master’s Program in English Education at Universitas Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar achieved first place for Best Presentation in the Online Collaborative International Learning (COIL): Global Leader’s Credo Project, held by With The World Japan.
The international competition, which ran for six weeks with the final presentation on March 2, 2026, brought together students from multiple countries in an online collaborative program. The initiative aims to develop global leadership, cross-cultural communication, and critical thinking through value-based leadership projects.
Unismuh Makassar’s team — Nurunnisaa Alimah A, Rita Asminarseh, and St. Mutiah Nurul Ilmidarajatih — impressed the judges with strong content, in-depth analysis, and confident communication skills.

The students’ participation is part of an ongoing international partnership between Unismuh Makassar and With The World Japan, established in 2023.
Head of the Master’s Program in English Education, Dr. Radiah Hamid, http://M.Pd., expressed appreciation for the achievement via WhatsApp on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. She stated the win proves Unismuh students can compete globally and demonstrate academic excellence in communication and global leadership.
This achievement is expected to motivate other students to expand their academic competence and global perspective. It also strengthens Unismuh Makassar’s position as an institution active in international networks.
With this award, Unismuh Makassar reaffirms its commitment to producing graduates who are academically competent and ready to face global challenges in the modern era.
